Theatre in the train about hotels in the GDR
Hotels in the GDR were one of the few places where people from East and West could meet. The restaurants, night bars and rooms offered guests an unaccustomed level of luxury. Shadowing by the Stasi was commonplace in the hotels. Staff from hotels in Eisenhüttenstadt and Frankfurt (Oder) recounted their memories of the hotel business for the documentary theatre play.
The performance will be shown in several railway carriages equipped with original furniture and objects from the GDR and is based on the production »Hotel Lunik« from spring 2024.
