Site-specific theatre about inland shipping
The ships sail for up to fourteen hours a day. They transport hundreds of tonnes of grain, coal, scrap or wood, often with just two crew members. Sometimes the families live on board until the children start school. This is because they are mostly barge owners who travel the waterways with their own ships.
A documentary theatre play tells the story of the people behind inland shipping.
