Site-specific theatre and interventions at original locations based on the lives of the people from Berlin's Scheunenviertel and Spandauer Vorstadt prosecuted by the Nazis

In scenic highlights, HÄUSER-FLUCHTEN production brings the life stories of Nazi victims from the past into the present of the everyday life in Berlin. The route includes various stations, at which the ensemble (consisting of three actors and a musician) brings the history of the buildings and their residents back into the light. In front of the houses, in doorways, courtyards and out of the windows, the voices of the resistance fighters, the politically persecuted, of people who sought their survival underground, the unadjusted and unwanted, can be heard loud and clear.
The audience looks for their own way to and trough the individual stations where history comes to life trough performance and music, splits up, comes together again and is accompanied by the voices and sounds on an audio track. The seemingly long forgotten events are evoked and resurface at original locations in here and now.

A production of the spreeagenten in cooperation with the Berlin State Center for Political Education, the New Synagogue Berlin Foundation - Centrum Judaicum, TATWERK | Performative Research and the Association for the Promotion of Art and Culture at Rosa-Luxemburg-Platz e. V.
Supported by the Fonds Soziokultur, Heinz and Heide Dürr Foundation and the District Mitte Culture Fund.
